It’s bedtime in . The birds are settling into their nests, the rabbits are returning to their burrows, and even the sun is tucking itself in for the night.
is getting ready for bed, too, when a firefly flutters in through his window.
"Good Morning! What are you doing?" asks the firefly.
"Good Morning? But it’s nighttime! I’m getting ready for bed," says. "Aren't you?"
"Of course not! Fireflies sleep all day and stay up all night, so my day is just getting started," says the firefly.
"It must be hard to go to bed in the morning," says .
"Oh, not at all! Bedtime is always fun," says the firefly, buzzing around 's head. "Do you want to see how fireflies get ready for bed? It won’t take long."
"Sure!" says.
"Okay, but you’ll need to be able to fly if you want to come with me. Can you fly?" asks the firefly.

"Oh, no. I don’t have wings." says.
"Well then I guess it’s a good thing I have a spare pair," says the firefly.
He flies around a few more times until there is a bright flash.
Suddenly, is a small as the firefly, and he even has his own wings!
"Wow! I can fly!" he says.
"Now you're ready," says the firefly, "Let's go!"
and the firefly race into the sky far above , higher and higher, until they reach the Moon.
"It’s so bright!” says , squinting, “Do you come all the way up here every night?"
"I sure do," replies the firefly, "We collect the glowing moon rocks so that we can see at night. Here, help me gather some to take home."
and the firefly scoop up as much moon dust as they can carry, until they are both glowing almost as bright as the moon.
"This should do for now," says the firefly, "Let's head back."

With a running start and a leap, and the firefly glide back down to and through 's window.
"Whew! That was fun!” says .
"I told you bedtime is fun!" replies the firefly, "Now let's get you back to your Big Kid size."
With another flash, is back to his normal size, and his wings are gone.
"I wish I could have that much fun every night." he says.
"Well, I'll tell you what,” says the firefly, "Since you helped me bring all these moon rocks back, you can keep some for yourself. That way, you can always have fun at bedtime."
"Wow, thanks!" says .
"You're welcome," says the firefly, "But now I have to go, and you have to get to bed. Goodnight!" The firefly zips out of the window and disappears into the night sky.
"Goodbye!" says . He crawls into bed and begins to fall asleep, dreaming about how much fun he'll have at bedtime tomorrow.
