Alexa Is Getting Started on Potty Training

Meet Alexa and Her Mom
Alexa will happily sit on the potty. She just won't do anything while she's on it. When we put her down for a nap or bedtime, we'll hear her cry out just minutes later. It seems Alexa waits until she's relaxed in bed before she'll go potty. Now our plan is to pull up all the rugs and let Alexa run around without diapers for a few days till she (hopefully) gets it. Will this make Alexa stop confusing the potty with the crib? Guess we'll find out.
Getting Started
Today Alexa was not in to anything that had to do with the potty.

Alexa went #2 again in the crib..never took a nap…..when I went into get her she told “hey mom I pooped in the crib and it smells in here get me out”

Alexa had a regular day..lots of pee pee’s in the diaper

Alexa had her diaper off and was playing today and ran into the bath room to pee pee…I know she is ready to stay home for a week-end and GO FOR IT!!!

Have to work with Alexa on going pee pee before the bath…she thinks it’s ok to pee pee in the tub!

Alexa went swimming today and had a great time swimming in the pool. We forgot more than one swimmy diaper so it filled up pretty fast. At one point she got out of the pool and said “mommy pee pee!” and was standing around a lot of people…I total knew it was pee pee but told her it was just the pool water dripping…..later that night she was taking a bath and Eric asked did you pee pee in the pool? Alexa answered yes a lot!

ANOTHER big #2 in the crib I think this is going to be a little harder than I thought…Maybe call the DR for a softener.

Today we started to talk a lot about going pee pee in the potty! I think she is excited about it!

Great Day!! I tried to get Alexa to pee pee before we went to the beach…not happy about it but after she sat down and tried…she was so excited that she went! Love that smile on her face after she goes. Alexa also went pee pee with daddy!

Went to Grandmas today they got back from their vacation! She was so happy to see them and show them how she has made pee pee on the potty! It was so cute! She sat down on the potty at grandma’s but she had missed it. Watch her take her pants down was the cutest thing I have ever seen! Love that girl!

Went food shopping today with alexa…..what is that going to be like after she is potty trained! Go out is going to be hard again.

Alexa went poop poop in the potty today! How exciting maybe it will be easy! We were in the bath and stood up and yelled poo poo!! Got her out real fast and she went! Awesome!

Tomorrow is the big day for potty training! I am excited and nervous! My little girl is growing so fast.
Potty Training Day
Today is POTTY TRANING DAY!!! LET’S ROLL UP THE RUG AND GO FOR IT!! Alexa did great! Never went poo poo on the potty…went in her panty!

Home day everything is going so great! With the potty training…Alexa asked for more surprises today if she went pee pee! A lot of reminding….But very impressed on how great she is doing.

Home day of more potty training! We were both busy at one point and I forgot to remind her and she pee peed on the rug! She got a little upset but I told her it’s ok and sometimes it happens! Later we went out but I was a little nervous of what to do if she had to go….but everything went great!

Keeping It Up with Potty Training
Went to School for the first time with no Pull-Ups training pants!!! YAY great day! Alexa is awesome! I am so happy and proud of her...But no poo poo!

Great with pee pee in the potty...no poo poo! I ask her before her bath if she wanted to put a Pull-Ups training pant on because she kept sitting on the potty trying to go ...but nothing! She said yes to the training pants!...but no luck! No luck after bath! No poop day.

Great morning! Went #1 and #2 in the potty!!! Yay I think she is getting it! Wow if we can keep it up all week maybe we won't need the Pull-Ups pant at night... too scared to take away yet!

Today was our field trip to Jungle Island with her class...I went because I was worried of her going potty all by herself. We had a group potty break and Alexa said she had to go...but didn't with the group...15 min later she said mommy I have to go pee pee! I was a little worried about her being able to hold it but as always she did great! What a star!

Alexa is going to my moms for the week-end to stay overnight...off to New Oreleans!!!

Almost Finished with Potty Training
Picked Alexa up at my moms...They said she did great all week-end pee pee and poo poo..in the potty all week-end! She did climb out of the pack and play there and walked into their room in the morning and told them she had to go pee pee. She is already used to her crib without the side rail.

We race a lot to go pee pee. Sometimes I ask her if she has to go and she says ...NO! but I know she does because of how long it's been. So we race to see who can get to the bathroom first and pee pee. She loves it...I always let her win!

Went to the park in the evening and Alexa took all her clothes off and ran in the water with her panties on...it was so cute ...she also ran over to me and told me she had to go pee pee..Thankfully it was a new park and they had a great restrooms. She was holding herself so again I was worried about her not holding it...but she DID IT!!

Late for school this morning because we were getting ready to walk out the door and Alexa looked up at me, and said with big eyes, mommy poo poo!! So we ran back in and went! Wow we did it! 100% she got it! Tonight.....NO Pull-Ups training pant! We are going for it! But she has the hick ups and keeps coming out for water....Hmmmm!

Alexa woke up this morning with her panties on and she was dry! NO MORE Pull-Ups training pants!!! I can't believe it my little girl did it! A part of me is so happy that the potty training is behind us but another part is sad that she is growing so fast. I want to freeze her or slow the clock down so she can stay little forever! I guess this is the beginning of so many amazing successes in her life! Mommy just has to stay calm through it all!
