Jen Singer is the creator of MommaSaid.net, a Forbes Best of the Web community for mothers. She is the author of You're a Good Mom (and Your Kids Aren't So Bad Either) (Sourcebooks, April 2008), and the creator of Please Take My Children to Work Day, a holiday for at-home moms held annually in June that has been declared by governors in twelve states to date. She writes the Good Grief: A Tale of Two Tweens blog for Good Housekeeping.com which is syndicated at Yahoo Shine. She lives in northern New Jersey with her husband, two boys and what appears to be a bucket of worms.
Bernie Dorsey, a former stay-at-home father, is the founder of the Conscious Fathering Program, which teaches prenatal and childhood involvement skills to thousands of fathers in twelve states. Dorsey also sits on the advisory boards for the Washington Council for Children and Families and the National Alliance of Children’s Trust Funds. In 2005, Dorsey developed Conscious Fathering for the Toddler, an extension of the original program, for fathers of infants and children up to three years of age.
Jennifer Shu, M.D., FAAP is currently in private practice at Children’s Medical Group, P.C. in Atlanta, GA. Her professional experiences have included serving as an instructor of pediatrics and director of the newborn nursery at the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth. Dr. Shu is co-author of Heading Home with Your Newborn: From Birth to Reality and Food Fights: Winning the Nutritional Challenges of Parenthood Armed with Insight, Humor and a Bottle of Ketchup, editor of Baby & Child Health: The Essential Guide from Birth to 11 Years and a member of the Parents magazine advisory board.
