As you'd expect, different personalities respond to using Pull-Ups® in different ways. Puppies and Owls love the control that comes along with Pull-Ups, and Squirrels love the quick freedom that they allow. Bears will easily adjust to their new Pull-Ups — they just have to be reminded to try in the potty. The Time To Potty app is great for those reminders, and gives Bears extra motivation to keep trying. Turtles might be slower to warm up to their new Pull-Ups, but you can help them adjust by giving them as many choices as possible. All toddlers, especially Turtles and Owls, rely on consistency, so try to have their favorite Pull-Ups style on hand at home, school, and everywhere in between.

  • Learning Designs® Training Pants help your child see when it’s time to go to the potty. Tell him that he can start the “Time to Potty” game whenever he sees that his Learning Designs characters are fading by saying, “Time to Potty!” When your child initiates this process, it is important to celebrate that initiative!
  • After a while, your child will feel when his body says it's time to go to the bathroom. Cool & Learn® Training Pants will help connect those “inside the body feelings” to the immediate after effect. Be sure to encourage your child to choose these when the time is right.
  • Stay consistent and give your child the Pull-Ups Night*Time training pants; they feature the same easy-open, stretchy sides as our Learning Designs® and Cool & Learn® training pants. Your little one is already familiar with Pull-Ups during the daytime, so the process will be familiar to them at night when they are getting up to use the potty in a sleeping haze.
  • Letting your child choose which Pull-Ups to wear will help her take control of the process. Over time, using the different types of Pull-Ups will help her develop an understanding of what her body is doing, and what she needs to do!

Potty training is a big moment — it’s when your little one becomes a Big Kid. It’s important to reinforce this change, and there are a couple easy ways to do so. First, be consistent. When you take your kid out of diapers, keep him out of diapers. Pull-Ups are more than a training pant. They’re also a symbol to your little one that it’s time to potty like a Big Kid. Going back and forth from diapers to pants only confuses him. Next, make the first time he pull on a pair of Pull-Ups a symbol — a promise that you’re in it together and will work and learn together on your potty training journey.
