Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

This milestone-based potty training app provides a structured, visual way to track progress. It offers pre-defined milestones, reward systems, and educational content to motivate children. While helpful, remember every child learns differently, so patience and flexibility are key.

Certainly! While your child's account does not support multiple administrators, you can share your login info with anyone you choose.

At this time we only support one profile. We hope to support multiple profiles in the future. The best way to accommodate multiple accounts is to ask a partner or other caregiver to activate an account for another child.

Yes, but your child will still need to meet all of the milestones to unlock content and the final graduation song. To meet a milestone, we typically recommend about 2 - 3 weeks of consistent success before we consider the milestone met. However, you know your child best. So you can start and complete milestones as you wish, at any time, during the potty training journey through the Potty Plan.

We get it, life with a toddler (or two) is busy. If you do forget to log a potty event, you can always do it at a later time. The occasional late or missed logged event will not slow down or stop progress. Just make sure you log the correct date to ensure accurate tracking.

Potty training breaks can be helpful, reducing stress and allowing your child more time to develop readiness. Keep breaks short (1 - 2 weeks), communicate clearly with your child, and when you're ready, restart gradually. If you do choose to take a break, or pause, you'll automatically restart where you left off when you come back. Trust your instincts and consult your pediatrician if needed.

Potty training takes prep and help for long term-success. So we've designed the app to be in three phases: Pre-training phase to help set up your account, educate yourself and to plan, a Training phase that helps you prioritize timely tracking and view progress, and More to Learn, a phase dedicated to building long-term habits.

Potty training is a gradual journey. From initial curiosity of watching you to independent bathroom trips, children learn skills like washing hands, staying dry, recognizing urges, and wiping. This app breaks down the journey into 7 key milestones, each with its own set of skills needed to 'level up", meant to help make the journey more manageable. Along the way, you can celebrate success and unlock rewards. You can learn more about each milestone in the Potty Plan.

App notifications are located under your account in Account Settings. Select Notifications and then use the toggle to choose which type of notifications you would like to recieve. You can also set up custom notifications for training and tracking reminders.

An easy, step-by-step setup is available during the onboarding process. Setting up your child's profile is a required step during pre-training and accessible via your homescreen. To access it later on, edit your profile via the Account tab.

Yes! You can update your band leader up until you officially kick off training. Once training has started, your band leader will be with you for the entire journey and cannot be changed.

Yes, you can retake the readiness quiz at any time by accessing it through your child's profile.

How to Use

Success on your child's potty training journey is rewarded through access to content in the BIG KID® Center. After each successful event you log, your child can be granted time in the BIG KID™ Center to explore their unlocked content. How much time is granted is always in your control. You can also launch the BIG KID™ Center at any time to reward as you choose. Each milestone is related to an instrument and character. As you start milestones, your child will have access to new instruments, and, upon completion, a dance and solo by the associated character. As your child progresses, you'll see instruments and solos by Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Pluto, and Chip 'n Dale!

To complete/unlock a milestone and progress through potty training, your child needs to become proficient in a set of prescribed skills. As always, you, the parent or caregiver, determine success and control the pace. You can review milestone progress, or manually advance through them, by tapping on Potty Plan in the main navigation. Then, scroll down, open up the milestone you want to view progress on and tap on the track tab to see the progress tracker and/or to manually complete a milestone.

You can see milestone progress through a tracker within each milestone. To track progress, tap on The Potty Plan in the main navigation, scroll down and open up the milestone you want to view . Then, simply tap on the track tab to see the progress tracker.

You know your child best. You can choose to start or complete a milestone in the Potty Plan.

You can meet all the unlockable Disney characters, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Pluto or Chip 'n Dale, in the BIG KID® Center and during the onboarding experience. A new character will be unlocked and fully available after each milestone is complete. You can view which characters are associated with a milestone in that milestone's potty plan overview.

The goal of the Milestone Method is to provide support and guidance on the potty training journey. To graduate, we typically like to see about 2 - 3 weeks of consistent success once all the milestones have been met. Of course you, the parent or caregiver, know your toddler best and are most qualified to make a determination as to whether graduation is in order. If you feel like your child is ready to graduate sooner, you can manually complete the graduation milestone in the Potty Plan.

You will always be asked to review any logging entries prior to submitting. Make sure all the information is correct. Once submitted, logged entries can only be edited from the review screen within each milestone.
